OverviewAssist Server in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to Hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation. They also transport utensils and service ware in order to provide food servers with appropriate equipment for guests’ dining experience, replenish food on hot and cold buffets, expedite and deliver food to guests’ table. Correctly describes and informs guest of food as necessary with each interaction per restaurant specifications. Restocks all dishes and utensils as they are cleaned. Cleans physical surroundings.
ResponsibilitiesFundamental Requirements:
Prepares foods such as fruit, juices, cereals, bread, hot food, etc.Replenishes food on hot/cold buffets – replenishes ice and maintain time/temp standards clean and inspects tables. Restocks all clean glasses, silverware and plates.Expedites and delivers all food items from the kitchen to guest tables in a timely manner with the knowledge of proper production and quality control per restaurant standards.Knowledge of menu items and descriptions for interaction with guests at delivery.Works with cooks to maintain adequate supply of food based upon consumption.Performs general cleaning in order to stay in compliance with the Health Department.Restocks outlets with appropriate inventory. Breaks down buffet, clean all serving vessels, replace and set for next day’s business.Puts away food stock and dry goods in their proper location.Keep all work areas clean and properly stocked according to the current meal period.Keep all tables cleaned and properly set according to property specific standards.Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room area according to established standards.Assist servers by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and promptly resolving any guest requests.Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side-work checklist.Provide service to guests in server’s absence, as needed.Maintain beverage levels in glasses/cups on table at least ¾ full at all times. (coffee, tea, soda, lemonade, and water).Assist bartenders with set-up, break-down, and replenishment of bar inventory.
