Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style. The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go café, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.
Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Job Summary:
The F&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality service and food standards. This leadership role involves managing staff, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring a positive guest experience. Reporting to the Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager, the Supervisor collaborates to drive operational improvements, team management, and service strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and support FOH and BOH Leads to ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house.
Maintain high-quality service standards and ensure food quality meets Zion Lodge expectations.
Oversee FOH and BOH staff during service to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal preparation and delivery.
Address guest concerns and feedback, ensuring resolution in a professional and timely manner.
Monitor staffing needs, assist with scheduling, and ensure proper shift coverage for both FOH and BOH operations.
Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and health regulations, conducting regular inspections for cleanliness and safety.
Oversee and manage TIPS training for alcohol service, ensuring all staff are certified and following responsible service practices.
Ensure all BOH staff are ServSafe certified and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Manage inventory and supplies for both FOH and BOH, coordinating with the F&B Manager for orders and restocking as needed.
Lead daily team meetings to communicate key information, specials, and service priorities to staff.
Collaborate with the F&B Manager on staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
Assist with onboarding and continuous training of FOH and BOH staff to ensure adherence to service and quality standards.
Oversee cash handling and financial procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and end-of-day reconciliations.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing feedback and support to the team.

Work Location:
Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, housing will be provided on-site and commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable.
Due to the nature of our business, Zion Lodge is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Ability to multitask and oversee both FOH and BOH operations in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and sanitation standards.
TIPS and ServSafe certification required, with the ability to train and certify staff in these programs.
Experience with inventory management, ordering, and staff scheduling.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
