Overview Stonewall Resort “Open Interviews” will be held on Wednesday March 12th, 2025 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Please apply online prior to the event. Ensure the highest level of professional food and beverage service at Lightburn’s Restaurant. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Carries out the policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Hospitality while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per our five core values, integrity, trust, honesty, collaboration, and fun. Ensures that liquor laws and liquor rules of the State of West Virginia are followed. Ensure the beverage service policies of Stonewall Resort are strictly adhered to. Follows safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Upsells goods and services offered by hotel. Ensures that all policies and procedures are adhered to; seek guidance of Human Resources Director and signature on form prior to administering disciplinary action to employee. Even distribution of disciplinary actions throughout department and positions under your jurisdiction. Assesses and offers creative suggestions and recommendations to guest requests. Maintains uniform and grooming standards as outlined in employee handbook. Works flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended eight-hour days). Conducts a daily pre-shift meeting with staff. Enforces and lives by Stonewall Resort’s F & B Vision Statement to promote the most productive, consistent team possible. Evaluates all employees on performance standards after initial employment period annually thereafter. Offers guidance and time frames for areas needing improvement. Reviews and understands daily event sheets, and function sheets in order to properly and knowledgeably respond to any guest or co-worker requests, questions, or concerns. Fully understands all job descriptions of Lightburn’s line employees under their supervisor. Trains, schedules and supervisor’s restaurant and bar staff. Performs and provides assistance in other related duties as required. Collaborates with the Restaurant Manager and gathers comments, feedback, and other data about food and service quality. Supervises stocking and operation of food and beverage machines in shared areas throughout the restaurant and bar. Ensures and/or maintains the safety and cleanliness of all restaurant and bar work areas, tools, and facilities. Reports needed maintenance, repairs, and improvements to food services facilities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software as needed to draft reports, inventory and work schedules. Performs other related duties as required Qualifications Minimum 1-year supervisory experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. Creative and effective problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of food service and best practices. Ability to accept constructive feedback and to work collaboratively with leadership to identify and facilitate needed improvements to the food service program. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software as needed to draft reports, inventory, and budgets.
