Job Summary

The F&M Team Lead/ Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in optimizing asset and process reliability within the aerospace industry. This position involves planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules and maximum asset efficiency. The role is responsible for managing machinery and building asset care, coordinating with various teams to execute maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently. This role will lead implementation of maintenance processes to increase production capabilities through maintenance capabilities. 
 

Job Responsibilities

•    Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:
o    Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules for aerospace systems and components.
o     Analyze machine downtime and coordinate operational adjustments to streamline production.
o    Prioritize maintenance tasks based on criticality, safety, and operational impact to minimize disruptions and optimize performance.
o    Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and executed without affecting production schedules.
•    Data Analysis & Reporting:
o     Analyze maintenance data and trends to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
o    Prepare and present detailed reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and recommendations for process enhancements.
o    Report on organizational performance to stakeholders, make suggestions for cost avoidance, and ensure fluidity in repairs when parts and services are required.
•    Continuous Improvement & TPM:
o    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to refine maintenance processes and procedures.
o    Collaborate with Lean Deployment partners to apply Planning and Scheduling steps of the Global Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Program, working towards achieving required levels of maturity.
•    Asset Management & Coordination:
o    Set up and maintain asset hierarchy and history to ensure accurate tracking and management.
o    Manage inventory for consumables, critical spares, and preventive maintenance parts.
o    Create and manage job plans and estimates for preventive maintenance tasks.
o    Arrange for timely delivery of materials to job sites to facilitate scheduled maintenance activities.
•    Vendor & Customer Liaison:
o    Partnering with cross functional team to develop potential alternative production path ways to mitigate downtime during machine maintenance schedules.
o     Act as the internal customer liaison for scheduling repairs, inspections, vendor-coordinated repairs, and calibrations.
o    Ensure effective coordination with vendors and internal teams to support the maintenance process.
•    Support & Oversight:
o    Provide oversight for inventory management to reduce technician time spent locating spares.
o    Work directly with technicians to support efficient parts management and maintenance execution.
•    Active involvement in problem solving and the management system using a ‘Go to Gemba’ approach to solve problems.
•    Partner with a multi-disciplined teams to perform asset maintenance to deliver improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), conversion costs and other F&M specific KPIs in accordance with the site Hoshin Kanri targets to improve.
•    Driving the disciplined and rigorous deployment of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) elements of the Lean Operating Model (LOM), contributing to achieving the expected maturity.
 

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
•    High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
•    5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance operations or a similar role within an industrial manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for experience in aerospace.
•    Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.
•    Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
•    GKN Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
•    Professional Certification: Professional qualification in an engineering discipline.
•    Lean/Production System Experience: Experience working with a Lean Operating Model or Production System.
•    Certifications: Lean or Six Sigma certification from a reputable certifying body or benchmark company.
•    Industry Experience: Equipment/building maintenance experience in the aerospace industry.
•    Passion: A genuine passion for the aerospace industry.
•    Detailed knowledge of Maintenance Systems (CMMS).Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and nomenclature, maintenance procedures, and industry regulations. Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools (e.g., Limble, CMMS, ERP systems).
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and internal and external business partners.
•    Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
 

Compensation Range

The compensation range of the position is between $92,006 - $115,007.
