Pratt & Whitney Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations is seeking an F135 Field Service Engineer (FSE) to support F135 Engine Sustainment and Flight Test activities.
This role is required onsite at NAS Patuxent River, MD
What You Will Do:
In this high visibility, team-oriented environment, FSE’s provide planning and technical support on engine maintenance, systems troubleshooting, and the sustainment of support equipment, material, and processes.You'll have hands-on interaction with the propulsion systems, aircraft, and engine ground test stand while working closely with P&W Engineering, P&W technicians, Rolls Royce as well as Lockheed Martin personnel.Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption.The Field Service Engineer will use self-initiative and discernment to identify problems, conduct investigations to resolve root cause, and coordinate resolution of field issues with the P&W Site Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management team.Occasional domestic and foreign travel is possible to support P&W operations at other locations or aboard ships in direct support of customer’s missionQualifications You Must Have:
B.A./B.S. in a related engineering/technical field is required.A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in turbo-machinery propulsion systems, engine assembly planning, flight/development test engineering, or engine/aircraft maintenance is required.At least 3+ years' proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint are required.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.Occasional domestic and foreign travel is possible to support P&W operations at other locations or aboard ships in direct support of customer’s mission; in addition, you must be willing to work 1st, 2nd shift and possibly 3rd shift, at least on a rotational basis along with weekends and holiday’s when required.Qualifications We Prefer:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
