We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to lead our Vertical / Branch Support team of FA SUP in Shanghai. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in industrial automation, deep expertise in vertical industries (such as battery[FS1] , electronics, semiconductor etc.), and proven leadership skills to manage a team of 8-10 engineers. This role is critical to ensuring exceptional customer support, driving technical excellence, and supporting Siemens' growth in key industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vertical/Branch Support:
- Act as the technical expert and point of contact for key vertical industries, including but not limited to battery, electronics, semiconductor and so on.
- Provide advanced technical support for Siemens SIMATIC systems (PLCs, HMIs, drives, networks, etc.) and TIA Portal solutions tailored to industry-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with BD, sales, product management, and engineering teams to develop industry-specific solutions and best practices.
- Analyze customer needs and challenges in these verticals and provide strategic feedback to improve Siemens' offerings.
- Conduct technical workshops and consulting sessions for customers and internal teams to enhance knowledge and adoption of Siemens solutions.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8-10 engineers, ensuring high performance, technical expertise, and customer satisfaction.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to meet customer needs.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and one-on-one sessions to provide feedback and guidance.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in target verticals from technical side, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value to customers through Siemens' products, services, and solutions.
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.
4. Strategic Contribution:
- Contribute to the development of the FA SUP strategy in China, aligning with Siemens' global and regional goals.
- Identify trends and opportunities in the automation market, particularly in key verticals, and provide insights to the leadership team.
- Drive initiatives to improve support processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in industrial automation, with a focus on Siemens SIMATIC systems (e.g., S7 PLCs, TIA Portal, WinCC, PROFINET).
- Proven experience in supporting key verticals such as battery, electronics, wind, semiconductor, or related industries.
- At least 3-5 years of leadership experience, managing a team of technical engineers or similar roles.
