This opening is for a Manager of the FAA ODA Flammability group in the Greenville, TX office. The person filling this position will lead a group of five or more experienced professionals that are FAA ODA Flammability Unit Members, Certification Task Leaders, and Unit Member candidates. This position reports to the Director of the ISR Sector Airworthiness department.
Essential Functions:
Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and conceptsManages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the ODA department goalsManages the experienced professionals of the ODA Flammability departmentResponsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for the ODA Flammability department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business goalsHas hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within the ODA Flammability organizationCommunicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes large customers and vendorsWorks to influence others to accept new practices, concepts, and approachesRequires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the ODA departmentResponsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new processes and systemsQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience.Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.Existing FAA Flammability DelegationsMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenshipPreferred Additional Skills:
