PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a talented Avionics Installer II to join our growing aerospace team. If you're an aviation electronics expert looking to play a key role in the assembly, modification, and installation of avionics systems, we want you! This role is essential in ensuring that the avionics systems we work on meet high regulatory and customer standards. You'll have the chance to develop your skills and contribute to innovative aviation projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Your Role & Responsibilities: Install and Modify Avionics Systems: Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment based on blueprints and engineering drawings. Perform Functional Tests: Complete terminations, ring-outs, and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems to ensure they meet high-performance standards. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain required logs and records, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and in compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Quality Assurance: Check your work and ensure defect-free assembly before final inspection, contributing to the quality assurance process. Safety & Organization: Adhere to the company’s FOD, tool control, and 5-S programs, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities like YIAW (You Improve the Work) and Kaizen events to contribute to process enhancements.
What We're Looking For:
Required: Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Option 1: Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics. Option 2: Two (2) years of related work experience. Option 3: Avionics certificate from an accredited school + 1 year of related work experience. Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams. Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Workplace Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Software Skills: Basic computer proficiency and general software knowledge. Preferred: Experience in avionics installation and modifications within the aerospace industry. Familiarity with the company's FOD and tool control programs, as well as safety regulations.

Pay Details: $30.17 per hour
