EHSS Compliance
Ensures compliance to all Safety work standards for the site, as well as local area requirementsFollows and holds team accountable to all standards of operation relative to Safety: Following and improvement of procedures, MSDS, LOTO, JHA, PPE, Good Catch Program, Evacuation and muster station support, near miss, and HazOpsCommunicates and advances concerns promptly through site safety or area managementLeadership
Demonstrates and promotes the Micron BehaviorsSupports and exceeds all personnel management requirements, goals, and timelinesDrive area line of sight (LOS) goals, area KPIs/metrics and other continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, AVAIL, TLD, Alarm reduction, First Qual pass etc.)Engages in conflict management and resolution in a timely mannerSuccession planning, develop, mentor and coach team membersMaintains training, shift readiness and proficiency compliance of yourself and your team. Drive Accountability for your team to implement to company policies, Micron behaviors, disciplines, department ground rules and area goals/ initiatives.Supervises WIP scheduler to ensure we meet ship pace requirementsActively uses shown understanding of inventory, capacity, scheduling, and utilization to improve product movementTactically leads and direct resources towards down tools according to moves/ Fab priorityTactically is responsible for the number of down tools and down time budget every shift while looking for opportunities to drive and improve Safety, WASTE, effective tool recoveries to hit AVAIL targetsHandles queue times and follow up on violationsHandles human mistakes/ errors, performs human factor interviews and drive good preventive actions to prevent repeats.Monitors and reacts to equipment alarms and recurring failuresDrive and sustain TPM integrity through 6S, m-tags and CIP execution. Perform daily and weekly walks/ spot checks for compliance to standards and coach team members on Automotive Quality Mindset (AQM).Improves PM performance by achieving G2G, qual time, First Qual pass, and other performance to plan metric goalsMonitors and reacts to improving efficiency and capabilities of your team membersMonitors and reacts to quality metrics such as scrap, CQDR, RQDR, broken wafers and TLD with QDR (S/CQDR impacts)Tactically supervises R and M spend and helps advance when vitalParticipates in and chips in to systematic problem-solving sessions as well as CIP projects Monitors Engineering PerformanceWrites concise process related ECN’s, when appropriate. Keeps up to date on and helps communicate area changes.Analyzes metrology, RDA, inline, probe and/or param data to understand process issues and help advance and/or resolve themEvaluation, revision and implementation of continuous improvement of PMQ, qual strategies and reaction mechanisms for SPC OOC, FD, R2R, and other control plansDevelops, implements, and optimizes Design of ExperimentsImplements procedural modification changes based on process and equipment performanceMakes decisions based upon statistical analysis of DTS, SPC, FDC, R2R, equipment logs, and other relevant engineering dataDrives and leads large continuous improvement projects to improve the area, team performance, metrics and team engagement.Leads projects that drive technical innovation resulting in equipment and/or process enhancementFacilitates systematic methods such as KT, 5 Why, and full 8D processesDefines, leads, and drives execution to recovery plans and actions associated to deviated processesMinimum Education/ Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Microelectronics, chemical engineering, material science, Electrical engineering, or related engineering degrees Or 12 years or related semiconductor industry experience (as equivalency)Proven track record of leading effective teams and delivering results, exceeding metrics.Minimum 3 years of prior leadership experience in semiconductor manufacturing (preferred but not required)Prior Dry Etch experience (Preferred)* Must be willing to work night shift and flexible with schedule to participate, drive and support Continuous improvement initiatives!
