Fabric Clerk

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Fabric Clerk at our Genesis Seating location in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

SUMMARY: The Fabric Clerk will support the work of the Fabric Lead. The Clerk will be responsible for labeling, transferring fabrics/leather to the warehouse location, picking fabrics/leathers for production, accurate inventory, cleaning out back flush locations, rerolling fabrics, cycle counting, shipment of fabric/leather for buyers and customers, answering emails, and help verifying fabric and leathers for receiving clerk.

 

What you’ll be doing:

Helps receiving verify fabric/leather and transports them to and from warehouse as needed. Completes transfers to and from warehouse in Syteline and keeps an accurate inventory of warehouse and backflush locations. Email communication with buyer regarding inventory discrepancies Rerolls fabric to get accurate measurements and performs inventory adjustments. Complete scrap of fabrics in accurate order initiated by fabric lead and enters onto HOT board. Runs unallocated report and pulls old unallocated fabrics and complete adjustments in SL. Prepare fabric/leather shipments for buyer and customers using shipping form Follows rules for safe operation with fork truck and pedestrian traffic, factory property, the fork truck and material being transported or handled.
