Spherion is partnering with one of the area's premiere Fabrication Shops in search of skilled Fabricators and Machine Operators. These are direct hire opportunities, on both 1st and 2nd shift offering GREAT pay, benefits, and various shift opportunities!

Shift availability:

2nd Shift: Mon-Thursday 4:00PM-2:30AM3rd Shift: Fri-Sun 6:00AM-6:00PM

Responsibilities:

Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, samples, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.Set-up, adjust and operate a variety of machine tools within a department.Adjusts tools and replace as necessary.Follow set-up procedures and recommend improvements.Read and understand layouts, job packets and blueprints for the parts being run.Perform quality checks on parts with the use of a variety of inspection equipment.Maintain a clean, safe work area.Produce parts that meet our quality requirements at the lowest cost, in a timely manner, while minimizing waste of materials and resources.Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality and productivity goals.




Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines.Possess a valid Machinist Certificate (NOT required)Proven experience as a machinist.Good at math with analytical abilities.Strong mechanical aptitude and an eye for detail.Demonstrated ability to read and understand operational layouts as required.Understand tooling requirements to set-up and operate machines in the department.
