Who Are We
The Earth Elements Stone Fabrication Shop is a state-of-the-art digital stone fabrication shop. Serving the Bozeman and Big Sky Area. With 20,000 square feet and multiple digital machines, we are the largest operator in the area. Our Stone Fabrication Shop serves the Design Center next door. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to join this fast-growing company. Earth Elements Design Center supplies high-end custom home interior finishes to the building industry. We are a complete one-stop shop with Appliances, Cabinetry, Doors and Door Hardware, Lighting, Slab, Tile, and Wood Flooring.
The Job
+ The Fabrication Manager is responsible for the fabrication department personnel and equipment within the Fabrication Division. The Fabrication Manager is responsible for providing training and direction to personnel, monitoring quality of work, and understanding and performing functions necessary to complete the fabrication of natural and engineered stone.
+ Schedule and lead daily meetings to introduce and review new project plans, drawings, and schedules to meet timelines.
+ Review timelines and schedules for all stations to plan and meet deadlines for production
+ Review slab types and overall quality to ensure the processed material will meet the design and quality requirements.
+ Review upcoming projects to ensure the Fabricators have the necessary tools and expertise to meet the Customers’ requirements.
+ Responsible for reviewing project drawings and layouts to ensure the final product can be fabricated to specifications.
+ Handle escalated matters from the fabricators and be in communication with the Project Coordinator/Operations Manager regarding changes to the schedule and obstacles
+ Engage and coordinate directly with the Project Coordinator and Field Manager/Lead Installers to develop processes and organization of information and resources
+ Touch base with Operations Manager, Project Engineering, Templating, Field and Machine Manager about projects, using the continual feedback model
+ Coordinate with the Machine Manager to stage countertops requiring rods and miters/build-up.
+ Review Job Tracker and assign tasks to Fabricators in order to maximize output and quality.
+ Execute high level planning to efficiently set up multiple production stages in the fabrication shop.
+ Allocating time to Project Coordinator, Machine Manager, and Field Manager in order to address current and future challenges.
+ Ensure all parts are completed on-time, properly identified and accounted for, so the installers have all pieces needed for the day.
+ Communicating with the Project Engineer to execute remakes as necessary and following up on status to help plan for field events
+ Perform final QA inspection of each project leaving the fabrication shop to ensure the installation meets Earth Elements standards
+ Ensure A-Frames have all necessary parts and pieces accounted for.
+ Responsible for ensuring quality control during the floor production process
+ Assisting the Installers each morning with loading (as necessary)
+ Perform weekly shop supplies inventory and order necessary items.
+ Monitoring packing slips are accurate and ensuring receipt of all ordered supplies
+ Stocking inventory as necessary
+ Supervises and trains fabricators and floor personnel
+ Provides assignments and delegates responsibilities to all Fabricators
+ Directs and/or assists in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions, explaining procedures to new employees, etc.
+ Interviews, hires, and manages performance of supervisees as necessary
+ Create and sustain relationships with contractors and clients
+ Ensures clients are keep up-to-date on current plans

+ This job operates in a warehouse and production shop setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses equipment such as computers, phones, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, heavy machinery (i.e. forklifts), and tools such as pneumatic polisher, wet polishing pads, handheld wet saw, grinders, measuring devices, levels, glue, etc.
+ The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 75 lbs., frequently move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. and use of heavy machinery for equipment up to 1,000 lbs.
+ This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday; 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. with additional hours and schedule changes as needed for business purposes.
+ Travel is primarily local, up to 2 hour driving distance during the business day may be expected on a rare basis.
Requirements
+ A high school diploma or equivalent, required
+ 5 years’ experience with Stone Fabrication
+ Supervisory experience is preferred
+ 21 years of age per DOT regulations
+ Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record, able to meet insurability qualifications
