Fabrication Receiving Inspector
Summary

The responsibilities of the Receiving Inspector will be to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufacturing/Fabrication parts. Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, purchase orders, industry standards, MTR’s, Certificates, and specifications. Actively collect and track heat numbers on projects requiring traceability for the fabrication team.  (ex. Picklist, Travelers, PMI, etc... _)

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

•    Inspect incoming material to verify integrity and review associated documentation for correctness to PO description, JQR requirements, Customer Requirements, Design Documents, and Industrial Standards, including visual and dimensional acceptability. 
•    Identify material needing additional inspection, such as PMI, and notify appropriate personnel. (PMI spreadsheet)
•    Responsible reviewing MTR’s and quickly identifies material origin, physical and chemical characteristics as well as any other special requirements.
•    Responsible for Approving and Tracking Non-restricted Material to Non-restricted jobs
•    Responsible for Approving Non-Restricted Material to Q-Stock Projects 
•    Represent Quality in meetings as needed. (JQR weekly meeting)
•    Responsible to identify and alert others of upcoming high specification jobs. Ability to aid putting together heat maps on those high specification jobs.
•    Assist with 3rd party inspectors as needed.
•    Maintain, Collect all Documentation for the Fabrication department. (MTRs, NDE reports, Hydro “spooling & vessels” report, Spooling ISO’s, Pressure Vessel travelers)
•    Updating the Document Deliverables Chart monitor status of Document Package for finished Projects
•    Coordinate with Trust Array for Pick up for documentation.

Qualifications High School diploma required Technical/Vocational training desired. Minimum 5 years work experience. Proficient computer knowledge with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word and Outlook). Good verbal and written communication skills.  Have a high regard for personal safety and safety of others. Physical Requirements

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
