Summary/Objective This position will perform duties required to meet production demands. This will include set-up and operating various CNC machines, laser machines, in-process inspection and cleaning operations required in the manufacturing of steel fabrication for custom vehicle accessory products. This position will report to Operations Supervisor. Essential Functions Attend to and operate machines Clean parts, touch up parts, and may require re-work of parts Read and interpret written instruction Complete appropriate paperwork, log sheets, forms, charts and quality assessments Communicate with and assist other co-workers in the area Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by lead Follow all safety precautions and use protective equipment as required Measure product to production specifications Maintain and follow good housekeeping standards to meet company objectives Perform routine quality checks, both written and oral Perform other duties as assigned Competencies 1. This position is very active – while performing this job the Team Member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. In addition, the Team Member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, 2nd Shift, hourly position, Monday - Thursday 3:15pm - 1:15am. Some Friday hours may be mandatory. Travel No travel will be required. Required Education and Experience Must successfully complete LCI new hire safety training and refreshers Must be able to successfully pass the LCI OSHA approved forklift-training course High School Diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills necessary Maintain clean and organized work space Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments Ability to communicate within a team setting Must successfully complete all LCI lean training, as required Preferred Education and Experience Associates Degree in Metal Fabrication/CNC Machining 3 years of CNC or laser related field experience Previous welding experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications None.
