Looking for a solid, reliable job where your skills matter? Join UGL’s locomotive build team in Newcastle We’re looking for Fabrication Tradespeople to help us create top-quality locomotives right here in Broadmeadow.

This is a full-time permanent role with fantastic hours:

Work Monday to Friday, 2.30 pm – 11 pm.9-day fortnight – get every second Friday off to relax or get stuff done.

What You’ll Be Doing

Fabricating and assembling locomotive frames, structures, and pipe welds.Tackling general workshop tasks as needed.Being part of a team that works hard and takes pride in what they build.

What You Need

We’re after people who:

Have an Australian-recognised trade certificate (Certificate of Proficiency in Metal Trades).Can read and interpret engineering drawings.Have experience with TIG welding and GTAW to ultrasonic quality.Bonus points if you’ve got:Dogging/Rigging tickets.MPI Level 2 or UT Level 2 certification.Can keep up with afast-paced production schedule.Are team players with good communication skills.
