**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, reading and interpreting blueprints, and performing various welding tasks. Your expertise will help ensure that parts are welded to specific tolerances and prepared for painting. If you have experience in MIG and TIG welding, as well as fabrication, this opportunity is perfect for you.
**Responsibilities**
+ Proactively attain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, welding prints, and other drawings.
+ Select parts from laser cutting/press brake operation to weld and align parts according to specifications.
+ Weld parts to specific tolerances.
+ Modify or redesign existing parts if necessary.
+ Sand, grind, buff, taper, and/or tap fabricated parts to drawing specifications.
+ Design and build fixtures and jigs for use in welding and assembly operations.
+ Set up and run MIG welding machines.
+ Operate overhead cranes and use various hand tools including saws, shears, drills, and grinders.
+ Prepare fabricated parts for painting.
+ Visually inspect each part that is ready for paint.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with MIG welding.
+ Familiarity with the metric system.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Knowledge of weld shrinkage factors and various welding techniques.
+ Ability to successfully pass an entry-level test administered by Mazak.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with MIG welding.
+ Fabrication skills.
+ Knowledge of power tools.
+ Experience with stainless steel, assembling, and sheet metal.
+ Sanding experience is a plus.
