Fabrication Workshop Supervisor

Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of a Fabrication Workshop Supervisor to join the versatile Process - Maintenance Team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Coordinator- Mechanical Maintenance, you will be responsible for supervising the fabrication Team to enhance the effective utilization of all resources.

Duties and responsibility for this position will include but not limited to the following.

Supervise the day-to-day operations of Boilermakers. Ensure equipment is managed and maintained in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. Ensure effective shift coverage. Conduct daily safety meetings for the crew. Review and execute weekly maintenance schedules and ensure priority maintenance activities are prioritized and managed effectively. Ensure the development and maintenance of up-to-date procedures for all tasks performed within the function. Operate within the standard operating procedures (SOP) as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator. Review maintenance tasks and opportunities for continuous improvement, give feedback and suggestions to all key stakeholders.

To be considered for the position, one must meet the following requirements:

Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate Minimum of an Advanced Certificate in Metal Fabrication or equivalent Minimum Three (3) years’ experience in fabrication and maintenance of the fixed plant assets Must be computer literate with competence in MS excel with exposure to SAP or equivalent Have a valid clean Zambian drivers’ license  Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia
