Hard Surface Fabrication Manager – Shaw Contract
A Shaw Contract Hard Surface Fabrications Manager is responsible for the project management of all aspects of hard surface, new platforms or categories, and product development through the design, manufacturing and launch process. Responsibilities:
Work as a strategic partner with design, commercial hard surface category management, global supply development, marketing, and manufacturing. Assist and establish product specification information to implement development of hard surface products, working across functional teams with internal and external suppliers.Responsible for facilitating all aspects of fabrication of new hard surface product development through the manufacturing process, both internally and outsourced.Responsible for coordinating all XR’s, Trial Production Runs (TPR’s) and Samples through manufacturing.Maintain the development timelines for all hard surface products to ensure timely execution of launches in collaboration with Marketing and Samples.Submit and interpret test results to ensure new products meet all requirements.Responsible for testing and accuracy of all specifications for new hard surface products, including global and domestic.Input and maintain distribution of Blueprint and Spec Information in MDM (Master Data Management) and EBX digital systems.Communicate and maintain Stage Gate process to insure timely flow of information on new product implementation.Schedule and coordinate reviews and procurement of material for reviews, ensuring deadlines are met for product release and marketing deliverables.Maintain product specifications and records for new products in development.Communicate efficiently between design, marketing, manufacturing, category management and global supply teams the goals and expectations for new product development.Request Indoor Air Quality, Floor Score and or Greengard Certifications for hard surface products.Coordinate test installations at internal and external facilities.Engage with key internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with Hard Surface leadership, vendors and targeted collaborative partners. Manage vendor relationships and procurement activities.Provide mentorship, coaching support and direction to the Hard Surface Fabrication Specialist and to other department employees regarding the Hard Surface development process to achieve goals and objectives.Handle inquiries and provide comprehensive technical knowledge in hard surface manufacturing capabilities to aid in solutions and problem solving for customers and salesforce.Competencies:
