What You Will Be Doing:As a Fabricator for Yancey Engineered Solutions, you will fabricate metal components and assemblies using specialized equipment, including a plasma table, shear, press brake, and 8" pipe threader. The ideal candidate will have experience in metalworking, a strong understanding of fabrication processes, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:Operate a variety of shop equipment, including plasma tables, shears, press brakes, and pipe threaders, to fabricate and assemble metal components.
Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to meet production requirements.
Perform precise cuts, bends, and shaping of metal materials as needed for each project.
Measure and inspect parts to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning, basic repairs, and troubleshooting as required.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Additional Responsibilities: Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner. Additional duties as assigned by manager. Who We Are Looking For:To be successful in this position you should have a deep understanding of the fabrication and weld process. You should possess strong accountability and initiative. The ability to work safely alone and around others is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional technical training is a plus. 2+ years of experience in a metal fabrication or similar manufacturing role. Required Qualifications/Skills:Proficiency in operating plasma tables, shears, press brakes, and pipe threaders.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
