We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Fabricator. This role is based in our facility in Janesville, WI and reports to the Plant Manager. The hours are Mo-Fri from 5.30am until 2pm. The starting wage is $20.96 per hour. Job Summary Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and preparing parts for fabrication operations. Perform fabrication, assembly, and packaging operations. Principal Responsibilities + Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures. + Obtain components from stock/production. + Set-up equipment to match product requirements. + Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate good communication skills. + Inspect completed parts. + Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets. + Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed. + Visually inspect all incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects. + Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. + Maintains a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training that is provided where required. + Maintains a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training when required. + Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory. + Completing and maintaining reports for managers as required, which may include: + Production reports + Scrap reports + Other duties may be assigned when applicable. Requirements + Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, however, full training will be provided + Must be knowledgeable in basic math + Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills + Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn + Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to chip in to and foster a positive team environment + Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful. + After training, should exhibit an understanding of various types and sizes of pipes.
