Fabricator Job Description

Job Title: Fabricator II

Job Summary: The Fabricator performs TIG welding, MIG welding, and plasma cutting to fabricate and build custom machines. They also install assemblies according to blueprints, engineering sketches, and written instructions. Additionally, the Fabricator works on special projects using machine fabrication equipment such as brakes, shears, mills, lathes, and plasma cutters. They receive direction, guidance, and mentorship from the Fabricator III and adhere to safety rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Perform TIG welding, MIG welding, and plasma cutting to fabricate custom machines.Install assemblies based on blueprints and engineering sketches.Work on special projects using fabrication equipment (brakes, shears, mills, lathes, plasma cutters).Receive guidance from the Fabricator III.Observe safety rules and attend appropriate training.

Continual Responsibilities:

Ensure safe and quality food production by following manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Maintain and document preventative controls for food safety and quality.Report food safety and quality issues promptly.Collaborate with team members and share knowledge.Enhance technical and functional competencies.Comply with safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.Two-plus years of welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.Experience with fabricating machines required.Forklift certification required.

Skills and Competencies:

Proficient in safe use of power and hand tools.Ability to read blueprints.Strong math aptitude.
