The Walt Disney World Resort invites you to be our Guest and explore maintenance role opportunities at our upcoming Job Fair on Thursday, February 6th, 2025 from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Come talk with our recruitment team and learn more about our FOS Maintenance Teams who provide excellent service and support to all of Walt Disney World! This event is open to the public and will focus on finding talent for maintenance roles. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to apply and interview on site. The Laundry System Mechanic is more than just a modern-day electronic technician. They are responsible for repair, modification, and rebuilding of all laundry system equipment. The Laundry System Mechanic is expected to have a strong working knowledge of electrical and electronic laundry devices and the ability to troubleshoot the equipment. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
Responsibilities:Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of laundry systemsUtilize a variety of testing equipment for troubleshooting of equipment and systems to the board levelRebuild pumps, valves, and regulatorsThis position requires a one-year minimum commitmentCast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and suppliesAdditional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years' experience in the electrical fieldMust understand steam and hot oil thermal systemsProficient in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and pneumatic controlsExperience with PLCs, relay logic and ladder logicAbility to pass a technical proficiency testThe ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematicsThe ability to perform fault isolation and repair failed systemsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices Preferred Qualifications: Journeyman license Additional Information: SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY:
