Facilitator (Bilingual Preferred)- Staten Island Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP) Job Details Job Location 120 Stuyvesant Place Suite 410, Staten Island, NY, 10301 - Staten Island, NY Position Type Part Time Education Level High School Diploma or Educational Equiv Salary Range $25.00 - $25.00 Hourly Travel Percentage None Job Category Human Service Facilitator EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 of people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Bilingual Preferred Facilitator to work part time for its Staten Island Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP) Program The Facilitator position is a non-exempt position paying $25 per hour. The position is part time up to 10 hours per week with evening/ weekend hours. The office is located in Staten Island, NY. The role reports to the Program Director. Primary Purpose of Job: The Facilitator is responsible for providing educational services to participants referred to the Abusive Partner Intervention Program. The Facilitator guides participants thru a curriculum which focuses on encouraging participants to take responsibility for abusive acts and exploring the effects and impact of violence. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: + Conduct assessment and orientation sessions for participants referred to the program following the program curriculum provided by EAC NETWORK. + Schedule participants for sessions. + Co-facilitate themed batterer intervention sessions utilizing control logs, assignments, and exercises. + Conduct group sessions virtually. + Ability to work evening/weekend hours. + Maintain participant attendance. + Distribute letters of attendance + Attend trainings/meetings as scheduled. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required: + High School Diploma or educational equivalent required or Bachelors Degree in social services area preferred. + Participation in qualified training in domestic violence and/or criminal justice or 100 hours of qualified internship training at an EAC site. + Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments. + Must have knowledge of local criminal justice and treatment systems. + Must have good communication skills, both oral and written. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) BIG PLUS/HIGLY PREFERRED!!
