Overview Gallagher is seeking a Facilities Assistant at our Global Headquarters Campus! This on-site role is located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Our Global HQ Campus includes three (3) buildings and two (2) parking structures over a 12-acre property. The Facilities Assistant's responsibility is to maintain a comfortable, pristine and safe environment including the physical maintenance of the buildings, patios, exterior grounds and parking structures. How you'll make an impact Interior maintenance and repairs: Doors, furniture, flooring and building exteriors to include doors, parking garages. Painting of high traffic areas, meeting rooms and common areas. Assist the Facilities Manager: Overseeing external contract vendor maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, window washing, power washing, etc. Respond to facility requests: Carryout request or dispatch to the appropriate group within Campus Operations and/or contracted vendor. Follow up to verify work, communicate progress with requestor Close the ticket in the work order system in a timely manner Support Gallagher Conference Center: Table/furniture set-up Arrangement of meeting rooms or open areas for meetings and events Carious requests from concierge staff. Support Campus Move Manager: Assist with employee work relocations/moves. Providing additional internal seating as requested. Conduct weekly detailed building inspections: Document any repairs and upgrades Dispatch to appropriate vendors or self-perform as needed Assist with regular inventory and restocking of coffee, beverages and office supplies on all floors. Assist with deliveries or handle pick-up as needed from designated suppliers About You Required: High school diploma and 3 years related experience required. Desired: 3 years of experience in building maintenance or commercial construction a plus Self-starter - taking the initiative to handle daily responsibilities Customer Service Skills are a must, interaction with internal customers/employees including leadership and executive assistants. Must be able to move and lift boxes up to 75 lbs.
