VACANCY FACILITIES ASSISTANT & DRIVER
A vacancy exists at Nashua (Pty) Ltd for a Driver, based in Woodmead, reporting to the QMS Manager.
Purpose:To assist with building facilities maintenance and support, and to provide reliable and professional transportation services for the organisation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: DELIVERY DUTIES Drive delivery vehicle Plan errands routes to meet daily planned schedule. Report any accidents or injuries within an hour to SHERQ Officer/Manager Inspect the delivery vehicle daily and report damages Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage. Collect payment or get signatures for proof of delivery. Ensure goods are not damaged during transport and delivery. Log and inspect all goods delivered by Couriers for defects and report. PROXY MANAGEMENT Ensure that all company vehicles have valid license disks, roadworthy etc. and sort out all traffic fine issues. Perform routine maintenance on all company vehicles, schedule major services and repairs. A D HOC ERRANDS Assist function Coordinators by collecting items and deliveries Assist the NCCF with collection and deliveries Perform any reasonable assignment or duties when requested to do so by the Manager, Executives and Executive Personal Assistants PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE COMPLIANCE Report any faulty /malfunctioning Coffee machines and Water Coolers Assist in the maintenance of a safe and effective working environment that complies with the Environmental and Health and Safety regulations. Report defects to the Facilities Officer or SHERQ and Facilities Manager. Assist with office porterage i.e. office and furniture move, deliveries and collections. Assist to ensure that building maintenance done by contractors is completed as required. Assist with the basic generator and HVAC systems. INVENTORY AND OFFICE SUPPLY Daily distribution of office supplies. Replenishing of Water Coolers. ADMINSTRATION Assist the Receptionist and Facilities Officer with inventory management of assets and office supplies. Assist with daily building inspections to identify any issues and repairs within scope of work. KEY COMPETENCIES: Working with People. Adhering to principles and values. Delivering results and meeting customer expectations EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Matric. Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience as a driver. Valid driver’s license. PC Literate (MS Word, Excel and Windows) at a basic level. Basic Facilities qualifications would be an advantage. OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:To perform any assignments when requested to do so by the SHEQ Manager or Officer and any other C-Level Executive.
