Facilities Associate for Global Real Estate & Facilities (English & German)

The Central Services/Global Real Estate & Facilities (GRF) team has an exciting job for a Facilities Associate who wants to engage. If you enjoy working with numbers and data, actively defining, and implementing processes, and contributing to global goals, this is the perfect role for you!

 

What you'll do

 

Accompany and support the GRF departments in the development and implementation of first-class workplace and infrastructure solutions throughout Germany through your expertise in finance and operations and as a strong team player.

Your tasks will include:

 

• Commercial check of facility invoices and associated close interface with GRF internal departments as well as external suppliers;

• Maintenance of contract management master data of maintenance and service contracts;

• Co-design and support in the definition and implementation of new processes, interfaces, and tools, as well as internal training (e.g. Changes to Purchasing Processes and Reporting Guidelines and Use of New Tools);

• Close support of GRF departments in commercial and operational financial processes;

• Interface with other finance units such as controlling, taxes, and the global purchasing organization to ensure SAP requirements. First point of contact and very close collaboration with SAP Financial Accounting;

• Collaborating and/or driving internal and cross-functional initiatives/projects and specific tasks nationally and internationally;

• Support ad hoc inquiries and provide area-specific reports and analytics.

 

What you bring
 

• University degree in finance, accounting, or business administration or successfully completed training in finance – and/or building/real estate management with professional experience in the field of finance & operation in the German environment;

• Ideally familiar with SAP internal finance processes and SAP applications (e.g. BW, Analytics, ERP);
• Affinity to innovative technology, IT tools, such as e.g. AI;
• Very good spoken and written German and English are essential;
• Excellent analytical skills, conceptual, structured and independent working methods;
• Strong communication and social skills and the ability to understand complex framework conditions;
• High level of customer focus.

 

Meet your team


The Central Services team is part of the Global Real Estate & Facilities (GRF) regional team in Germany and is responsible for the central GRF services. The team also covers food spaces and therefore all catering services in Germany.
On the one hand, the Central Services team is responsible for supporting the GRF departments in key financial topics that occur in the context of the support of SAP real estate and locations in Germany. On the other hand, the team is also part of a global GRF organization operating worldwide and thus also in a global environment.

The Central Services team is a diverse team consisting of 11 employees, mainly based in Germany, who currently work mostly onsite but also virtually.
