WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Maintenance Division, Facility and Construction Manager oversees all aspects of the Carpentry, HVAC, Landscaping, Water Quality, Plumbing, and Construction teams to ensure the optimal operation and aesthetic of park facilities. This role ensures maintenance and construction projects meet Six Flags standards and are completed efficiently. The manager acts as a liaison between the park and external contractors, ensuring all work aligns with the company’s values, quality standards, and safety regulations. HOW YOU WILL DO IT:
Department Leadership and Oversight:
Lead and manage the Carpentry, HVAC, Landscaping, Water Quality, Plumbing, and oversee construction projects. Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve facilities and infrastructure. Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and mentorship to ensure efficiency and professionalism.Construction and Maintenance Management:
Oversee all construction and facility maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and to Six Flags standards. Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to align project plans with operational needs. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Six Flags safety policies.Plumbing System Oversight:
Manage plumbing systems across the park, including installation, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure all plumbing work adheres to safety standards and local codes. Respond to and resolve plumbing emergencies promptly to minimize operational disruptions.Contractor Relations:
Represent the park in negotiations and discussions with contractors. Evaluate contractor performance and manage service agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality. Maintain positive relationships with external partners to facilitate seamless operations.Facility Maintenance and Standards:
Ensure the maintenance of park facilities to the highest standards of safety, quality, and guest satisfaction. Develop preventative maintenance schedules for all facility-related systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and water quality systems. Collaborate with Landscaping teams to maintain the park’s visual appeal and environmental standards.Budget and Resource Management:
Prepare and manage budgets for assigned areas, ensuring financial accountability and efficiency. Optimize resource allocation and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining high-quality standards.Reporting and Communication:
Prepare reports on maintenance, construction progress, and contractor performance for senior leadership. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including park leadership, team members, and external partners.WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, construction, or a related field, with leadership responsibilities. Theme park experience a plus. Strong knowledge of construction practices, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, landscaping, and water quality standards. Proven experience managing contractor relationships and large-scale projects. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly. Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, is required. Physical ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75lbs, while working in all-weather environments. Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to operate various vehicles, including forklifts, golf carts, cars, and trucks.

Requires regular physical activity, including walking throughout the park, standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds. Must move between various indoor and outdoor locations in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, and cold.
Working Conditions
Works both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions. May require work during weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on park operating and construction schedule. Must be available for emergency maintenance issues and after-hours construction projects.
