Facilities Construction Manager

Position summary: JMT is seeking an experienced Construction Manager willing to work in Charles County, MD, and one that is capable of performing construction management duties. The construction projects will include water and wastewater facilities, as well as water utility work. The CM will primarily provide construction project oversite to ensure quality field work and basic construction management responsibilities. This position is not eligible for employer based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.

Compensation for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications.

Essential skills and responsibilities

Maintain excellent relationships with clients and contractors Manage and coordinate inspection staff Review and approve the contractor’s monthly payment requests Review and approve cost proposals for change order work Conduct project meetings and prepare meeting minutes Coordinate the project activities with Plant operations to minimize operational impacts Maintain correspondence with client representative as needed to keep client informed of project details Interpret construction plans, specifications, requests for information (RFIs), submittals/shop drawings, and industry standard codes Evaluate field work to ensure compliance with project specific requirements and industry standard practices
