Facilities Controller - Bendigo Hospital

Join our team as a Facilities Controller at Bendigo Hospital. 

We are looking for a motivated people to join our team at Bendigo Hospital in a Facilities Controller position. This role is to ensure all of the hard maintenance services at the Precinct are delivered in an efficient and effective manner. You will be responsible for:

Providing an efficient, comprehensive and effective maintenance response ensuring facilities remain safe and secure for patients, staff and visitors at all times fit for the intended purposes; Timely response to assets rectification, make safe and its history in the QFM system application, meeting contractual kpi’s, ensuring Extension of Time process is managed.  Ensuring that all systems, buildings and utilities function as required and do not cause or create any hazard or interruption to the environment and/or any person within the Precinct; Coordinate contractors’ access and assist in the oversight of conducting site inductions, permit control and audits of tasks where required.

12-hour dayshifts (6am – 6pm) and 12 hour night shifts (6pm – 6am) Rostered days off: 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 5 off then swap to nightshift. An opportunity to work with a progressive organisation that values training and development

 

About You:

At least 5 years post trade experience in complex buildings maintenance services delivery such as hospitals, commercial or industrial environments. Previous experience working in a building maintenance  Preferred demonstrated proficiency in plans and operating manuals interpretation and use of Building Maintenance systems, such as BMS, QFM, Rapid Global or similar.  Sound written and verbal communication skills Trade qualified (A-grade Electrician or Qualified Plumber) with technical knowledge in building maintenance, preferably in a large Health Care Facility.
