Facilities Coordinator
Responsibilities Join the Hudson Yards Experiences Team as a Facilities Coordinator at the iconic Vessel! Hudson Yards Experiences has an exciting opportunity open for a Facilities Coordinator who is passionate about creating and delivering unforgettable experiences. This position will be based in New York City and primarily support the Vessel. Be part of a team working on exciting projects and have the opportunity to learn through practical work experience. Attention to detail and a willingness to learn from a hands-on perspective are required. Assisting the Facilities team includes supporting the administrative portion and handling repairs in-house. A flexible schedule is required as we cover all shifts and will have occasional overnight work. Key Responsibilities: Instill a safety-first culture throughout the attraction. Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly inspections are being completed before open. Review work orders to ensure that assignments are completed. Fixing minor issues within the structure or arranging for repairs when needed. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, work in tandem with plaza security, janitorial, and multiple vendors to meet upkeep end goals. Removing potential hazardous materials from all areas accessible to employees and guests. Items like tools, paint, cleaning supplies. Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment and internal systems (e.g. paver reseating, lighting repairs, glass cleaning, metal cleaning) Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and parts spares to complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Secondary Responsibilities: Facilitating all off-season preventative maintenance work and supervising Conduct minor repairs within the attractions Assemble/disassemble office furniture Respond to ticket requests in a timely manner and ensure thorough record-keeping For more about Hudson Yards Experiences, check out our video: Hudson Yards Experience Qualifications Basic understanding of and interest in facilities; previous experience or relevant qualifications a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts, and climb multiple flights of stairs daily as needed for walkthroughs. Utilize basic hand tools, and measuring tapes to take measurements. Be able to orient with as-builts and shop drawings. Basic knowledge of Box, Monday.com, Aware Manager, and Slack is a plus. Familiarity with office equipment. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with varied timelines. Flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Organized, detail-oriented and able to work to deadlines and targets with strong interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Can do attitude and willing to help across multiple projects. Ability to carry out basic tasks on Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
