Summary Job title: Facilities Custodian Job ID: null Department: Corpus Christi - COL Location: null-null Description Summary: Columbia Electric Supply is looking for a Facilities Custodian Helper. The facilities Custodian Helper will be responsible for helping our facilities custodian. The successful candidate must be dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented; and have the ability to see what needs to be done with little direct supervision. Reports to: Warehouse Manager Minimum Qualifications: + Must have knowledge of professional cleaning procedures and products in a commercial environment and demonstrated experience in custodial duties. + Ability to perform basic computer functions including email/text + Ability to communicate effectively ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES: + Must be able to develop and follow a routine, but be flexible enough to accommodate special projects. + Receptive to change – can adapt to changing circumstances + Managing self – exhibits a strong sense of own capabilities + Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct + Accepts ownership and accountability for own actions + Confidentiality is of the utmost importance Preferred Qualifications: Preferred 2 to 4 years of previous experience in a facilities role Working Conditions: Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Supervisory Responsibilities: No Essential Job Functions: + Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance on all systems. + Perform monitoring and oversight of systems, primarily HVAC Controls, and Security/Fire Alarm system. + Manage the contracts for landscaping and snow removal services + Vacuum carpets and remove stains as necessary. Move light furniture to access carpet vacuuming. + Empty all waste containers, insert liners as required, remove and deposit trash in designated containers. + Remove all flattened cardboard and place in designated locations. + Restock towels and soap in break areas. + Perform heavy work such as: unloading and transferring of supplies and equipment and moving and re-arranging furniture and equipment + Replace any lights out within facility or arrange service + Responsible for snow removal of areas within a defined area of the building + Cleans restrooms as necessary and restocks paper and soap supplies + Maintain lawns at facilities, including mowing each facility. + Maintain the lowering/raising of the flag when necessary. + Understanding of and compliance with procedures relating to infection control and effective cleaning methods. + Maintain knowledge of the safe application of chemicals and products used CED is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability | Veteran
