The Opportunity
This position works out of our Structural Heart Division locate at Caguas, Puerto Rico. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
As the Facilities & EHS Manager you will be overseeing the Facilities and Maintenance, and EHS Departments at the Abbott Structural Heart, Caguas, PR site. This role is responsible for maintenance programs of facilities critical systems, site utilities, housekeeping services, Pest Control program, EHS & Infirmary, and site Security.
What You’ll Work On
+ Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
+ Implement facilities and utilities systems that maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for all office, production and support areas.
+ Directly responsible for the equipment and utilities maintenance, troubleshooting, redundancy and continuous improvement initiatives at the site: HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) Systems, Electrical System, Water Systems, Compressed Air System, Vacuum System, and Infrastructure maintenance.
+ Guarantee all facilities critical systems according to regulatory/quality compliance.
+ Oversee security programs and systems that minimize employee security risk and loss of company property.
+ Support and execute annual Facilities, Maintenance and EHS capital and expense budget required to assist in achieving business goals.
+ Support EHS initiatives and programs that help reduce lost work time and injuries, ensure employee safety awareness and compliance with safety standards.
+ Leads site’s Emergency Brigade Team, oversee the site’s Hurricane preparedness plan, and manage the site’s Business Continuity Plan.
Required Qualifications
+ B.S. in Engineering
+ Previous facilities or maintenance management experience.
+ Knowledge of the Quality System with understanding of the CAPA system and interrelated systems.
+ Experience selecting and managing vendors and contracts.
+ Computer knowledge in programs as Excel, Word, Power Point, Maximo, Building Management Systems.
+ Supervisory experience preferred.
+ Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
+ Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
+ Bilingual both: English and Spanish

The base pay for this position is $88,700.00 – $177,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
