Facilities Electrician Technician |Mooresville, NC | HIRING IMMEDIATELY

 

Available Shift: (Monday - Friday  7am - 3:30pm)

 

Comprehensive Compensation Package:

 

Starting Pay Rate: $31.20 per hour (based on experience) - Paid Weekly

The facility operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

Facility Electrician I

 

The Facility Electrician is responsible for a wide variety of tasks that support the on-going operation of the building and property.  This includes anything from trash pick-up to HVAC maintenance.  There is a small team that reports directly to the Facility Manager.  This position will be assigned routine tasks as well as impromptu requests as needed each day.  This is an important role to keeping our site functioning properly and well kept. We take pride in our business and our workspace.  This position helps greatly in paying attention to that detail.

 

Responsibilities:

Safety

Maintain awareness of all safety policies and procedures for the jobRemain aware of surroundings and obtain knowledge of all required PPE for the jobKeep work area clean and organized Report any safety concern, risk, hazard, near miss, or injury immediately to the appropriate supervision on shiftEnsure each task is done safely report any suggestions or improvements to your manager

Quality

Follow all guidelines for GMPReport any concerns of building or equipment failures that may lead to quality defects of productSupport timely resolution of any building or equipment failures

Productivity

Completes tasks related to general building maintenance and facility supportMaintaining non-production equipment around the building to include but not limited to air cooling systems, refrigerators, ice makers, door systems, etc.Will operate equipment such as lifts or utilize ladders and other tools to complete the necessary tasks at hand safely Must perform other tasks within the plant as assigned by the Manager Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

Position requires a HS Diploma or GED and 2-3 years related experience. Demonstrated problem solving and mechanical skills are also required. Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally is required, as is the ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.

 

Technical Skills and Responsibilities

Experience with facility maintenance tasks, including:Fire system inspections and repairsElectrical and mechanical installation and troubleshootingNetwork installation and repairsPlumbing and sewer maintenanceHVAC, water treatment, and utility system maintenance and repairs.Ability to conduct facility inspections and perform necessary repairs.Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

Most routine tasks are performed while standing or walking or sitting.Reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling are constantly present while performing job duties.Frequently turning body from 0 to a maximum of 180 degrees.Good eyesight is essential for constant inspection of work. Seeing both near and far, color vision and depths of field are all required. Vision corrected with glasses or contact lenses is acceptable.Frequent walking is required. Distance can be over 500 feet.Frequent climbing stairs to our parts supplies.Occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or talking may be required.Lifting to 40 pounds is required.Pushing and pulling is occasionally required.Controls required include hands/arms (both) and feet/legs (both).Environment both inside and outside work and the plant can get up over 100 degrees in the summerVibration can occasionally be present from product shakers or grinders.There is a mild plastic smell at all times. Occasional smell of battery fluid during battery changes on the lift.Personal Protective Equipment required includes safety glasses and gloves, hearing protection and proper footwear, hair nets are required out on production floor and warehouse.
