**Role**
The Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) team at Applied Materials is responsible for all facilities, from acquisition through operation to disposition. Facilities engineer for operations will front end all building maintenance, repairs and day to day operations within facilities function to deliver a world class experience for our employees.
This role will be an individual contributor role responsible for day-to-day operations, repairs, predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance, critical spare parts inventory management, ESG for all Santa Clara buildings, focus on customer service, cross collaborate with different functions in the campus to deliver a friction free experience to end users. The position is based in Santa Clara and will report to the Senior Manager, Global Workplace & Infrastructure solutions.
This role will be responsible to introduce engagement model with our point of contacts and introduce concepts of proactive management of services and customer relationship management.
Participate in industry wide benchmarking exercises, share best in class practices and track trends in the industry for likeminded company. Indulge in leading the business with data driven direction and what is needed.
**Key Responsibilities**
The Facilities engineer, Site Operations, will:
+ Interface with and support all Applied buildings at Santa Clara HQ business units as needed to resolve operations, safety and regulatory issues related to facilities.
+ Have the ability to analyze and evaluate complex and ambiguous problems with focus on speed to solutions. Manage and coordinate outsource service provider resources or out-tasked vendors to solve both urgent and longer-term issues.
+ Identify and catalog improvements which can reduce operating costs, increase system integrity, and improve operational resiliency and uptime.
+ Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to review and improve preventive maintenance tasks and frequencies.
+ Review vendor proposals and coordinate purchase requisitions within forecasted budget.
+ Participate in annual and quarterly budgeting process, including forecasting and accruals.
+ Establish and manage key indicators that represent the health of facilities systems.
+ Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
+ Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize the longevity of equipment and reduce downtime.
+ Monitor and optimize energy usage, focusing on sustainability initiatives and reducing the facility's carbon footprint.
+ Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance certifications. Provide regular reports to management on the status of facilities operations.
**The Ideal Candidate will have the Following:**
Experience in the semiconductor or similarly technically complex industry.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Availability for on-call responsibilities in case of facility emergencies.
Experience managing different line of business within the facilities.
Passion to challenge the status quo in pursuit of material performance improvement.
Experience with contract development, administration, and invoicing.
Experience managing different businesses within the same campus and navigating team cultures.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or facilities Management or equivalent

**U.S. Salary Range:**
$133,500.00 - $183,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
