Facilities Engineer-A
Drafting of the engineering designs using the appropriate software relevant to the required project specification. To ensure timeous updated/revised engineering designs in line with Plant specifications. 3D design work. Update of Plant Building drawings. Design according to set specifications and Ford standards to keep within required quality specifications. Preparing drawings from the engineer's design and approve technical drawings. Validate modifications Prepare civil works for machines installation Raise and implement projects to improve layout and pedestrian improvements and issue PIR’s and orders  Conduct technical review of recaps ensuring  accomplishment of Ford Engineering Spec and local regulations Review and approve new technologies, materials and components. Review new installations in new programs participating in launch team reviews Coordinate and support of vendor installations in plant Owns overall layout coordination for shutdown activities. Prepares and issues Annual Plant Floor Space Report. Responsible for developing preventative maintenace procedures and  ensuring adherance on all plant facilities and equipment. As far as reasonably practicible ensure a safe environment and adherance to OSH-ACT (Act #85 of 1993). Specific emphasis on  Construction regulations, Facilities regulations, General machinery regulations, Driven machinery  regulations, Electrical machinery regulations, Electrical installation regulations, Pressure equipment regulations.  Develop and use process confirmation to ensure adherance in all areas. Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 Tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Architectural/CAD Draughting is required. 3 years of Draughting experience in an engineering environment. 3 years applicable software experience: CAD, OneDes, MicroStation, DAD or other related software. Knowledge of drawing procedures and specifications. Safety: Complete near misses as per requirement Quality: Ensure incident report is ready in time. Cost: Continous improvement. Kaizens.
