Facilities Engineer

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for performing operational support duties of the facilities, EHS and Real Estate Department, supporting regional initiatives by driving consistent implementation and delivery. The role is responsible to provide outstanding field offices by leading, monitoring and managing building services and projects, with focus on site operations, services contracts, sourcing, procurement and financial. The Facilities Engineer should also take on the role as Safety engineer of Shanghai office.
Keys responsibilities
Manage and maintain China mainland and Taiwan facilities operation and ensure all facilities, properties and office service functions operate effectively and efficiently. Oversee, supervise, schedule and coordinate all service contracts to ensure that they are professionally delivered and at the right costs. Develop and maintain a close liaison with all functional departments including EHS, Security, Real Estate to ensure that facilities maintenance programs, policies and procedures are in place and within company guidelines and local business needs. Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety, environment policies and procedures. Coordinate, supervise and manage al improvement works, renovation projects, equipment installations, construction and building management. Administer and coordinate all Real Estate leases including apartment leases. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Asia Facilities manager.
Education/Training/Skills/Experience Required
Expected to travel up to 25% of the time in China Mainland and Taiwan. Current active offices are Shanghai, Hefei, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Hsinchu and Tapei. New location might be added in the future. Bachelor’s Degree in facilities management/mechanical and electrical/Civil engineering/Architectural with five to eight years of experiences in facilities, property management or related field in Shanghai. Required a well-rounded knowledge of industrial facilities, EHS and government compliances requirements Possess background in engineering with good Mechanical and Electrical knowledge. Previous budgetary oversight experiences preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as presentation skills. Must be able to communicate in English and Mandarin. Computer skills - Must be reasonably self-sufficient and able to use Outlook, Microsoft office, Autocad.
