Facilities Engineer Manufacturing & Utilities Ann Arbor, MI, US + Added - 05/09/2024 Apply for Job **_Our client, a leader in the biotechnology industry, is looking for a Facilities Engineer to join their growing team!_** **Pay:** $100k-110k/year **Location:** Ann Arbor, MI **Job Type:** Direct Hire **Key Responsibilities:** + Creating quality, cost effective, and timely preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance programs. + Oversee routine and emergency maintenance of facility infrastructure, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. + Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and extend lifecycle. Identify and address inefficiencies in facility operations. + Lead or support facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and new installations. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. + Ensure all facility operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, environmental, and industry standards. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and reports. + Assist in the development and management of the facilities budget. Track expenses, forecast needs, and identify cost-saving opportunities. + Creates and maintains facility drawings in an organized manner, including up-to-date building drawings, reviews drawings, and documents of other engineers. + Utilizes Building Management Systems (BMS) to review trends, analyze data, and monitor equipment/systems to identify trends and ensure they are running within specifications. **Education/Experience:** + Associate degree or trade school certification in controls, electrical, or HVAC. + 2 years of progressive work experience in building operations, preferably within a laboratory facility. + Preferred knowledge of ASi Controls, IntelliFront, BACnet (or other BMS), and Manager+ (or other CMMS). + Extensive knowledge of building practices, codes, and regulations. + Strong problem-solving skills utilizing PDCA/M-FMEA/Six Sigma methods. \#INDBH \#LI-DNP We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
