Job Description

Essential Job Duties: 

To ensure the building is clean and tidy and generally well maintained (reporting anything broken, removing empty cardboard boxes, cleaning spillages.)Managing waste streamsLiaising with the shift leaders unwrap paper reels as necessary and remove wrapping to carton wasteEnsure that the grounds, car park etc remain tidy and litter free and that any maintenance issues in these areas are reported to the Facilities ManagerEnsure that the production floor is kept to the acceptable standard agreed using various methods including sweeping, mopping, hand scrubbing and the use of an industrial cleaner and sweeper.To check and restock the office and production kitchen (coffee, tea, and sugar) daily.Electronic stock takeTo ensure that both production and office kitchens are kept clean, and dishwasher emptied appropriatelyTo weigh and record waste streams in line with the Company’s key performance indicatorTo help prepare, set up and dismantle furniture and equipment in training room as required.To ensure that the office is kept well stocked with the appropriate paper for the printersTo work with IT and facilities on the deliveries into Goods In for their respective departmentsTo assist with office moves and relocations.As instructed during the winter months prepare the external steps and access to the buildings this will involve the clearing of snow from car parks and drivewaysTo carry out any such other reasonable duties within job capabilities as may be requested by the Facilities Manager from time to time.To be responsible for your own Health and Safety and be aware of factors affecting your colleagues in order to maintain a safe environment.To report any accidents, potential hazards to your Line Manager immediately.

Qualifications

Experience:

Previous experience of a similar role, or Warehouse experiencePPT or Forklift Desirable

Education:

Effective level of literacy and numeracy

Skills:

Effective team member with a flexible approach to workFlexible approach to changeConfidence in dealing with queriesThe ability to deal with people at different levels and adopt a professional attitude at all times.Ability to work to set targets under pressure and adapt to ever changing prioritiesMust be tactful and conscientiousAbility to work on own initiative with an eye for detail
