We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to lead our Baltimore, MD facility. This role involves overseeing the transfer, storage, and disposal operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing profit and loss, and leading a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure health and safety is the top priority by adhering to all safe work practices and policies. Manage the facility to meet compliance standards and key performance indicators. Oversee the processing of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes according to regulatory and customer requirements. Collaborate with the safety department to enhance facility safety. Partner with the Facility Compliance Manager to maintain compliance. Ensure accurate and timely processing, coding, and billing of materials. Work with National Logistics to manage outbound waste materials cost-effectively. Manage profit and loss statements, ensuring costs align with budgeted revenue. Train and develop plant employees, mentoring future managers. Oversee the maintenance department and preventative maintenance systems. Maintain the facility to be clean and presentable for audits and tours. Develop strong working relationships with local Field Service, Technical Services, and Logistics Managers. Perform additional duties as required by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred. 5-7 years of experience in chemical/hazardous waste processing can substitute for a degree. Supervisory or management experience in chemical operations preferred. Experience with P&L and budgeting preferred. Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Excellent labor relations skills preferred. OSHA training and experience.
