Job Description
Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities Management (FM), this role oversees and coordinates multiple FM operational activities and services. Responsibilities include maintenance support, Work Service Center call triage, tracking repair services, campus communications related to infrastructure and safety issues, and procurement services for Design, Facilities, and Safety Services (DFSS). This position pays up to $140,000 annually.
Day to Day:
CMMS Program Management: Oversee the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure efficient workflow and supervise all maintenance work through the system. Manage data and records to accurately account for labor, materials, tools, equipment, and rolling stock.
Client Coordination: Collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including custodial, grounds, and trades staff, as well as architects, project managers, and design engineers, to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Storeroom Operations: Oversee all aspects of Facilities Management Storeroom Operations and inventory management of over 5,000 SKUs valued at approximately $1M. Direct and coordinate Storeroom Operations and Procurement Services with an annual spend of $7M.
Strategic Planning: Facilitate forecasting and strategic planning for FM. Develop and maintain benchmarks for production work, including costs of materials, labor, and other resources. Develop key performance indicators related to FM performance, planning, and delivery, and analyze FM data to recommend improvements.
Liaison and Coordination: Provide oversight and coordination with university organizations such as Equipment Management, Design & Construction Services, Housing, Dining & Auxiliary Services, Business & Financial Services, External and Internal Audit, and the Office of the President. Resolve FM issues and plan for operational improvements affecting the campus community.
Budget Management: Plan, develop, and manage the operating budget for the Operations Unit, including forecasting and reporting future growth and needs.
Process Implementation: Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine resource allocation to meet schedules and goals. Formulate, implement, and monitor FM processes and programs. Develop plans to meet objectives and deliver results. Manage fiscal, physical, and personnel resources, potentially overseeing multiple facilities and personnel.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
4-6 years' experience Facilities Management with prior experience utilizing maintenance management software applications
Strong skills in facilitating and collaborating with diverse internal and external constituencies
Proven ability to manage, supervise, and direct a professional and skilled staff of highly specialized and technical personnel
In-depth understanding of modern management principles, practices, methods, procedures, and techniques.
Comprehensive knowledge of university rules and regulations, processes, protocols, and procedures for budget, accounting, and fund management.
Advanced knowledge of construction and maintenance repair materials and parts.
Strong ability to assist shop personnel and field technicians in identifying and sourcing parts through local vendors. null
