Job summary – What to expect: 

As Facilities Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, compliant and productive facility installations at the Procornea site.

The role focuses on providing excellent customer service while overseeing facility and utilities maintenance, infrastructure management, energy management, cost improvement initiatives, and external facilities service contracts.

This position reports directly to the Head of Manufacturing Operations NL.

About you:

Maintain positive relationships with all Procornea Coopervision and be the main point of contact for their facility’s needs. Understand their expectations and provide business service solutions accordingly. Ensure compliance with regulations related to quality, environmental health, and safety. Represent Facilities during audits and implement business continuity plans. Support energy and sustainability initiatives as well as infrastructure management programs. Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams on capital and infrastructure projects. Work with departments and contractors during planning and construction.  Lead Facilities strategies and initiatives at the site. Ensure efficient maintenance and operation of facilities and utilities, ensuring compliance in classified/controlled production environments. Keep standard operational procedures up-to-date and ensure strict compliance with them. Develop and monitor operational budgets for internal and contracted resources. Responsible for the performance of service providers. Develop a reliability program for utilities and critical building systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong understanding of facilities management or related fields Knowledge of GMP, EHS, and other regulatory standards Familiarity with maintenance and construction best practices Ability to effectively manage contractors. Solution-oriented & pragmatic. Trouble shooter, Stress-resistant. Excellent decision-making skills in fast-changing and complex environments, and capable of dealing with uncertainties. Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability. Social skills; emphatic, listening, enthusing, & collaborating. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with all management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants. High organizational sensitivity and situational awareness. Balancing stakeholders (conflicting) interests.

Experience and Education:

At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar (industrial) environment. To perform this role properly you must be present on site for at least 5 days per week. Fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English. Science or Engineering background (Marine, Process, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience MSc or MBA preferable A completed MBO + education (intermediate vocational education) in logistics, supplemented with extensive work experience in a similar position.
