Purpose and role of job:

Manage daily work direction for Facilities Maintenance crew members.  Position requires extensive leadership, facilities, and construction knowledge.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

Develop small and large projects and implement.Develop PM programs.Track group budget.Work with crew (small portion of week).Purchase of supplies including submittal of appropriate paperwork for approval (including the ability to negotiate pricing).Job Status Reporting to customers and supervisor.Preventative maintenance development, execution, and tracking.Reporting of OT including a list of work for approval by Thursday of each week.  This excludes emergency repairs outside the control of maintenance.Provide recommendations for development of Maintenance Staff.Provide recommendations for properly equipping the Facilities Maintenance Department.Help to set up necessary “on-hand”, and “reorder” numbers for facility items that will be put on control in the parts room(s). Have some involvement with contractors to review safety, quality, adherence to FQ standards.Fire and security responsibilities – assist the management of fire and security systems, necessary equipment testing, and small project work.Assist the management of general trash and metal disposal.Perform safety “rounds” to observe behaviors, and equipment/building conditions.  Report findings to safety committee, and use work order system to resolve unsafe conditions

Education and experience requirements:

Organizational and planning skills.Manage and track work orders.Possess basic computer skills and e-mail communication.Group safety leader and instructor (including knowledge of FQ safety, environmental, and construction standards).High school diploma or equivalent required.5 Years of construction or Facilities Maintenance experience required.
