Facilities Maintenance Assistant Director: Assists the Director, Facilities Maintenance, with the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, equipment, and infrastructure at Oldfield, a private member-owned riverfront community rich with amenities, located in Okatie, SC. We are looking for a team player, with a strong work ethic, an understanding of Club operations, and a proven track record of success in facility management.
Some key responsibilities:
Supervises and provides guidance to Facilities Maintenance staff. Conducts regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and repair requirements. Performs repairs, such as fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, repairing broken fixtures, minor plumbing repairs, carpentry repairs. Works closely with Housekeeping staff to keep facilities clean, organized, and sanitized. Works closely with community landscaping subcontractor to ensure grounds are in excellent condition. Supports skilled technicians (e.g., electricians, plumbers) during larger repair projects. Documents maintenance activities, work orders, and repairs. Emergency Response: Assists during emergencies (e.g., power outages, hurricane prep and recovery, etc.), follows safety protocols and ensures timely resolution of facility-related issues. Assists in the planning and implementation of facility maintenance and repair projects. Monitors and ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations. Manages the scheduling of routine and preventative maintenance and repairs for building systems, such as HVAC and electrical. Maintains an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance tasks. Other responsibilities as assignedRequirements and Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED Certificate
Skills in or knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems (preferred)
Valid Driver’s License
Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to solve problems
Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Physical stamina to work on your feet and lift/move equipment up to 80 pounds
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Salary - $60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience
