Facilities Maintenance Manager

Overview

Ready to kick your career into high gear?  Virginia Tire & Auto is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our growing warehouse team. We are looking for a knowledgeable inventory professional with experience tracking and counting stock items.

Job Description

Work is fast-paced in an indoor/outdoor, customer-oriented environment. This position requires stooping, bending and moving throughout the shop. An employee may lift up to 50 pounds and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non- hazardous materials. This position may involve lifting tires in the tire storage area, which has high shelves. Road-testing vehicles also may be required. Must possess basic computer skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Overall duties include, but are not limited to:

Organize, prioritize, and track store maintenance requests (REST cases) daily ensuring that all cases are resolved efficiently   Dispatch daily prioritized work to the maintenance team Assist Maintenance and follow up onsite as needed Facilities and equipment parts acquisition Coordinate with third-party vendors for timely service quotes and to schedule repairs/installs Prepare facilities for seasonal changes - Snow/Ice, sprinklers, etc. Manage regular facilities maintenance throughout the company such as A/C units, lifts, fluid exchange equipment, etc. Manage timely inspections of operations equipment, safety inspections, and utilities for preventative maintenance Manage Maintenance Associates training and development Participate in the inspection of all new construction and renovation projects at stores to ensure facilities (utilities, operations equipment etc.) Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis Special projects as required

Education & Skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent Drivers License is required  Must be able to lift up to 55lbs. Minimum 3 years experience in Automotive-industry experience and expertise a plus Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction and/or building maintenance   Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel Strong attention to detail Strong written and oral communications
