Facilities Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role involves daily tours of critical spaces to identify and address alarms, fluid leaks, and any out-of-order issues. The position requires overseeing generator rooms, fuel pump rooms, and assisting with kitchen area maintenance in collaboration with the head chef. Additional responsibilities include servicing various equipment such as air filters, heat pumps, water filters, lamps, ballasts, and plumbing parts. **Responsibilities** + Tour critical spaces each morning to review for alarms, fluid leaks, and anything out of order. + Oversee generator rooms and fuel pump rooms. + Assist with kitchen area maintenance, working alongside the head chef. + Check in with staff each morning after completing checks. + Service equipment such as air filters, heat pumps, water filters (sink, refrigerators), lamps, ballasts, and plumbing parts (gaskets, cartridges, etc.). **Essential Skills** + 2-4 years of commercial office maintenance experience. + Mechanical skills. + Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). + Experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. + Familiarity with generators, fuel pumps, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repair. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working with a CMMS work order system. + Experience with inventory management and ordering parts. + Comfortable using public transportation to commute to work. **Work Environment** Work in a 20-floor office building located in downtown Boston, with a total area of 782,000 square feet. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $31.74 - $37.87/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
