What You Will Do

This role is responsible for creating a strong first impression and serving as the primary representative of the Facilities team to both customers and vendors.

In this position, you will execute high-quality, timely work with professionalism while bringing strong organizational, technical, and communication skills to the team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong sense of initiative, capable of being proactive, following through on tasks, and handling confidential information with discretion.

Maintain & Repair: Perform or coordinate routine and preventative maintenance for building systems—including carpentry, plumbing, life safety, lighting, emergency generators, access control, and office furniture setup/repair.

Ensure Safety & Functionality: Conduct inspections of public and common areas to uphold cleanliness, safety, and supply availability.

Customer-Focused Support: Respond to maintenance requests with a customer-first mindset, ensuring quick and effective resolutions.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Escort and oversee contractors to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.

Conference Room & Office Support: Assist in maintaining meeting spaces, managing employee moves, and delivering supplies—including large and heavy items.

Emergency Readiness: Be available for occasional after-hours support, including responding to alarm system calls.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

Extensive Experience: 10+ years in commercial building maintenance or a similar role, ensuring facilities operate at peak performance.

HVAC & Safety Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with HVAC systems, commercial safety protocols, and emergency procedures.

Large-Scale Facility Management: Proven ability to maintain and oversee professional business facilities of 400,000 sq/ft or larger.

Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, using technology to streamline maintenance operations.

Self-Motivated & Disciplined: Confidence in managing tasks independently with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.

Process Improvement: A track record of implementing and maintaining efficient, effective workflows that enhance operations.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot issues, and resolve challenges proactively.

Strong Communication & Organization: A clear communicator with a keen eye for detail and a highly organized approach.

Valid Driver’s License: Occasional driving of a company or personal vehicle may be required; candidates must maintain a valid state driver’s license if driving
