**About LPSD**
We design and manufacture Cat C27, C32, 3400, 3500, C175, 3600 and C280 platforms; Perkins 4000 series and 5000 series platforms and MWM gas engine platforms, drivetrains and engine system components.
Through our global organization, we design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines in the industry, as well as engine components and powertrains. The large engine product portfolio includes Cat, Perkins and MWM branded products. Applications include Cat machines, electric power generation, marine, oil & gas, industrial and locomotive.
**Role Definition:**
The Facilities Technician supports all aspects of facilities maintenance for buildings and grounds. This includes all auxiliary equipment to support operations for life safety systems, production, general building, compressed air, cooling towers, HVAC systems, lighting, restrooms, water systems, grounds maintenance, etc.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Drive a culture of safety & process excellence
+ Creating and assisting Facilities Engineering in execution of PM plans and PM workorders.
+ Maintaining building equipment, when necessary, with PM and Corrective maintenance work.
+ Use of CMMS for capturing workorders and critical data for building related assets and management.
+ Make daily rounds of building premises for PM checks and PM maintenance and support functions for all building related needs and activities.
+ Working knowledge of compressors, fire suppression, emergency systems, lighting, alarm systems, hvac, security badge systems, turnstiles, fencing, gates, dock doors, landscaping, etc
+ Working knowledge of industrial electrical with understanding of switchgear up to 600V
+ Skid steer operation and light equipment preferred
+ Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
+ Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
+ Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects as needed.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory.
+ Repair or replace faulty equipment or components using hand and power tools.
+ Utilize carpentry skills to construct, repair, or maintain various structures within the facility.
**Requirements:**
+ Associates degree in Mechatronics or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
+ Problem Solving: Expert knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving building and equipment issues associated with facilities.
+ Facilities Preventive Maintenance: Extensive knowledge of building equipment and its functioning; ability to conduct Preventive Maintenance at scheduled intervals to determine equipment's corrective actions and avoid untimely breakdowns.
+ Understanding and Application of Tools - Ability to utilize various types of tools and equipment to aid in repair and troubleshooting to resolve facilities problems: voltmeters, hand tools, diagnostics, pressure measurement devices, etc.
+ Computer Skills – Has knowledge and can apply knowledge for Microsoft business communication tools, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
+ Communication Skills – Ability to communicate with multiple levels within an industrial environment using written and verbal communication.
+ Print Reading – Ability to understand electrical schematics and building drawings.
**Top Candidates preferred certifications:**
+ HVAC certification (plus)
+ EPA license for HVAC work (plus)
**Additional Information:**
+ Shift Hours are Monday - Friday 7 AM – 3:30 PM, may need to flex hours to support off-shift.
+ Overtime may be requested on an as needed basis for emergencies or special project support.
+ This is an on-site position in Hodges, SC.
+ This position will pay $27-31 per hour depending on experience and education.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$27.30 - $34.70
