Facilities Maintenance Technician
Purpose and role of job:

Responsible for executing most tasks within the Facilities Maintenance group.

Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

Practice good hygiene, treating everyone with respect, being constructive and tactful, communicating with your team and customers, and abiding by company policies and proceduresPaint walls, guards, floors, parking lines, etcObserves all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.  (PPE,  LOTO, construction safety, etc)Perform basic metal cutting (burn off bolts, cut steel, etc.)Perform carpentry work (fabrication of crates, platforms, tables, framing, and associated installation)Perform lifting with proper rigging techniquesRepair and install drywallInstall and repair door lock equipment and door hardware; and know the facility lock systemTrain other team membersUse tin equipment (nibblers, breaks, etc.)Drill and tap all sizes properlyUse hand and power tools (bandsaw, table saw, bench and hand grinders, sanders, snow blower, etc.)

Education and experience requirements:

Show initiative and work with little, or no supervisionKnow the Weblink/MP2 system, and enter and retrieve work orders and reportsCertified to operate a fork/hand truck and Genie BoomUnderstand the facility layout, and flow of materials and productsHigh school diploma or equivalent required2 years of construction or Facilities Maintenance experience required
