**Facilities Maintenance Technician - $30/Hour - Start ASAP**
Pay: $30/Hour (Depending on experience)Hours: Monday-Friday, Day ShiftThe main function of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple facilities. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations and be multi-skilled in others.
Responsibilities:Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.Travel between multiple facilities ensuring their proper function.Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean and safe workplace.Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure safety of work areas.Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.Skills:High School Diploma or Equivalent.5-7 years experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action.EPA 608 Type II Certification.Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.Valid driver’s license.Work EnvironmentWork involves traveling between multiple facilities, maintaining and repairing equipment across various locations. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and policies for hazardous materials, ensuring a clean and safe workplace. The position involves working with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and more, using various tools and computer applications. The dress code is professional, adhering to safety standards.
