What You’ll Do:
Perform basic facility repairs and routine building equipment maintenance.
Service vacuum pumps and gas systems.
Fabricate metal parts using cutting and welding equipment.
Develop time and material estimates for fabrications and modifications.
Source materials and parts for jobs.
Collaborate to reduce downtime and increase equipment efficiency.
What You Need:
Expertise in vacuum pumps, process gas systems, and welding techniques.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and SMAW welding.
Experience with metal fabrication tools and equipment.
Knowledge of shop equipment and tools of the welding trade.
Certification in TIG welding preferred; copper sweating/brazing skills required.
Familiarity with industrial health, environmental, safety procedures, codes, and OSHA standards.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, and have gauging and meter operation skills.
Capability to order and control inventories of spare parts, supplies, and materials.
